ENDOMETROSIS – ITS VIEW IN AYURVEDA

Now a days most of the women are suffering with endometriosis .
Over 200 million women worldwide, it means 1 in 10 women are suffering with endometriosis,
So exactly what is it ?
It is the condition in which the inner most layer of the uterus starts implanting outside the uterus in different shapes and sizes in different structures of the pelvis like cervix , ovaries , fallopian tubes , urinary bladder sometimes rarely even in lungs and other parts of the body etc .
How she will come to know that she is having endometriosis?
Every month during menstrual cycle these tissues responds to the hormones just as the inner layer of the uterus reacts where she suffers from severe pelvic pain , pain during menstruation, change in the bleeding patterns. Also she experiences diarrhea or constipation particularly in relation to menstruation and endures abdominal blotting, tiredness, lack of energy and pain during coitus .
According to research endometriosis is one of the top most reason for infertility.
Actually nobody knows the exact cause for endometriosis.
Some hypothesis says , it causes due to retrograde flow of the menstrual debris.
The risk factor may be when women be under stress, talking head bath during menses , sleep disturbances, change in food style will disrupts the hormonal levels,
Retrograde menstruation may involve in an increase in oestrogen levels.
According to Ayurveda, it causes mainly with the disturbances or alteration in vata doshas specially Apana vata vikruti which is responsible for downward elimination of urine, feccus, flatus, child birth and menstrual blood.
Ayurveda has many treatment option which helps to get rid of symptoms as well as taking out the menstrual debris out of the body without surgical intervention.
