Pre-Conceptional Counseling

Pre-conceptional counseling in Ayurveda provides a holistic framework that focuses on the physical, mental, and emotional preparation of both prospective parents to achieve the best outcomes for fertility, pregnancy, and the health of the future child.

Key Concepts in Ayurvedic Pre-Conceptional Care:
Ayurveda highlights Garbhadhan Vidhi (preconception rituals) and Garbha Sanskar (embryo
conditioning), recommending that intentional preparation begin several months prior to attempting pregnancy.

This approach includes:
Cleansing therapies (Panchakarma) such as Virechana (detox for Pitta), Basti (balances Vata), and Uttarbasti (uterine channel cleansing) to remove accumulated toxins in both partners.
Rasayana therapy—specific herbal rejuvenatives such as Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and Kalyanaka
Ghrita are used to optimize reproductive organs and balance hormonal levels.
Fertility-centric diet plans embracing sattvic foods like fresh fruits, grains, milk, ghee, nuts, dates, pumpkin seeds, and spices such as turmeric and cinnamon. Processed and junk foods are strongly discouraged.

Healthy lifestyle practices including regular sleep, proper meal timings, yoga, meditation, daily
exercise, stress management, and positive thinking.
Attention to mental and emotional well-being through counseling, meditation, and fostering a
supportive environment.
