Wonderful remedy for Menstrual cramps

Does crampy period keeps you out of your daily routine and uncomfortable?

Is achy awful period pain really troubling you and making you swallow pain killers ?

I’ve some great news for you.

First thing is there’s nothing uniquely wrong with you.

About 50% of all women are struggling in their reproductive age group and there are reasons for it.

The second thing is you have got a wonderful treatment in Ayurveda to get rid of this pain by ruling out your specific reasons.

Let’s get clear on the pain we’re talking about. We are talking about menstrual pain that starts right around when your period starts or few hours before bleeding starts -feels stomach ache , backache , leg pain and lasts for as long as three days in case of ‘Primary Dysmenorrhea’ while it may also accompanied by headache, dizziness, but the good part is it’s not likely being caused by any underlying medical/pathological conditions like fibroids, endometriosis , pelvic inflammatory disorders or any pelvic pathology.

If pain is happening at other times of the month or longer duration that comes under ‘Secondary Dysmenorrhea’ which need further medical evaluation.

What causes you to get this period pain?

This menstrual pain is almost always due to overproduction of prostaglandins which causes the uterus to contract frequently and dysrhythmically which makes you to curl up with pillow.

Whoa, How can I get rid of this pain ?

Pain killers ( NSAIDs) may work like a charm to relieve pain and are also effective at reducing a heavy menstrual bleeding, but they can cause a serious harm also. Even a short term usage of NSAIDs for just 5-10 days has been proven to cause fertility problems, gastric bleeding and get heart attack in women.

Don’t worry, there are many things to comfort you.

Ayurveda medications & Panchakarma therapies, healthy diet , few of the Asanas will keep your pain at bay.

Few of the wonderful Ayurveda Medicines which have been proven to be very effective for period pain are Chandraprabha vati, Hingvastaka vati , Haritaki vati, Dhanvantaram gutika, Hinguvacadi gutika, Rajapravartini vati.

My core recommendation is to start taking Haritaki choorna 1 tsp two times a day just 1 week prior to your cycle.

Taking a medicated enema continuously one week prior to period gives a quick and effective relief.

You’ve got to increase your intake of a wide variety of veggies especially darkgreen leaves, onions , garlic , sweet potatoes and citric fruits like lemon, oranges which actively supports natural detox, reduces inflammation and helps to clear excess estrogen from our system.

Put a pause on the dairy and boot out sugar and processed foods. It is because for some women, it’s an inflammatory trigger and may deliver some extra hormone.

Also give a pause for your protein diet about a week during your menstrual cycle which helps in reducing the severity of ache.

– Taking magnesium supplements helps to reduce menstrual cramps and aching.

– Optimize your vitamin D level , boosting these levels to a healthy range also controls menstrual pain.

– 100mg of Thiamine (vitamin B1) taken daily can significantly lessens severe menstrual pain.

You can use any combination of the nutrients with Ayurveda herbs.
