Many Parents ask me this question that how to delay precocious puberty in their daughters. When is the ideal time to start taking the precaution? What precautions to be taken?
I always say them PRECOCIOUS PUBERTY can be PROGRESSIVE when taken PRECAUTION.
Puberty is a natural and necessary process in the human body that marks the transition from childhood to adulthood. However, when puberty occurs too early, it can be a cause for concern. Precocious puberty is defined as the development of secondary sexual characteristics before the age of 8 in girls. It can lead to health issues and emotional stress for the child and their family.
In Ayurveda there are natural ways to delay the onset of puberty.
You will be surprised to know the ideal time for taking the precaution starts from one generation before , it means mother should go for detoxification process before she conceive for her daughter.
Body detoxification of the mother before conception may help avoid Precocious puberty in their offspring(Daughter) in few ways :
1.Remove heavy metals and toxins : Body detoxification helps to remove heavy metals, harmful chemicals and environmental toxins from the mother’s body, which may be passed on to the developing fetus. These toxins can interfere with normal hormone function, leading to early onset of puberty.
2. Support liver health : The liver is responsible for metabolizing hormones, among other functions. By supporting the liver’s health through body detoxification, it can process hormones more effectively, which may help delay the onset of puberty.
3.Reduce inflammation : Inflammation in the body can also interfere with normal hormone function. Body detoxification may support a healthy immune response, which may help reduce inflammation and delay puberty onset.
4. Provide optimal nutrition: Detoxification protocols typically involves consuming more nutriet dense foods and avoiding processed or inflammatory foods. This can help ensure optimal nutrition for the mother, which can support the development of the fetus including the timing of puberty onset.
[ However its important to note that there is limited scientific evidence to support the idea that body detoxification before conception can prevent precocious puberty. More research is needed to understand the relationship between body detoxification and precocious puberty. ]
How one can delay this ?
1.Maintain a healthy weight: Being overweight or obese can contribute to early onset of puberty. Therefore maintaining a healthy weight through regular physical activity and a balanced diet may be helpful.
2.Limit exposure to chemicals: Exposure to chemicals such as bisphenol A (BPA),in plastics and food packaging can also contribute to early puberty. Limiting exposure to such chemicals may be helpful.
3.Avoid Junk foods and eat a healthy balanced diet: A diet rich in vegetables, fruits, wholegrains and lean proteins but low in processed foods and sugar may support healthy hormone balance.
4. Foods high in processed sugar, saturated fat and unhealthy oil can lead to the early onset of Puberty. Withdrawal from hormone disrupting foods and substances, dairy products, meat and sugar contain high levels of estrogen and this might help delay puberty.
5.Monitor TV and other screen time: Overexposure to TV, video games, and other screen-based entertainment may increase the risk of “pubertal deviation” or early onset of puberty.
6.Promote mental and physical relaxation: Stress and anxiety can impact hormonal balance in the body, encouraging relaxation through yoga, meditation and other calming practice can support healthy hormone function and delay the onset of puberty.
7.Adequate sleep : Adequate sleep patterns plays a critical role in delaying puberty. Children should get enough sleep and close to 10 hours each day.
Its important to note that the above mentioned methods can take time to see results, and it is essential to consult with an Ayurveda practitioner before undertaking any of these remedies.
Precocious puberty is a serious health condition that requires immediate medical attention. Parents should consult with their healthcare providers if they suspect their child is showing signs of early puberty.
